		<description>The photos of these doors were taking quite some years back, but I know from experience that they are often very heavy to keep open, especially when you have groceries or a baby stroller with you.
But back in those days, the posh people all had servants and surely they would have held the door open for the upperclass people living in these big houses, or there would have been a door man. In these democratic times, we all have to do the work ourselves :-)
